The District 10 fall retiree shoot is scheduled for September 10th at District 10 Headquarters. We have been granted permission to serve food and drinks. Clay Woodard is coordinating the meal. The meal and social time will be for scheduled retiree shooters only.
The shoot times will again be scheduled in groups, in 30 minute increments, starting at 8:00 a.m. After I have been given notice of your interest by a reply email, I will advise you of your shoot time. Please arrive prior to your shoot time and complete a few forms in the D10 Meeting Center. The main building will not be accessible. The restroom that will be available is in the Range Building.
The shoot fee is $10 and you are permitted to qualify with a maximum of two weapons (revolver and/or pistol) that have at least a five round capacity. There is no restriction on caliber size.
Please bring your FOID (Illinois Residents), Retiree Identification, Driver’s License, and 30 rounds per weapon.
Thank you and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!
If you are due to shoot, please reply to this email by September 2nd so we can get you scheduled.

I hope this finds you all doing well. The District 5 Retiree Shoot is now open for scheduling. You will find two documents attached that will need to be printed and filled out prior to your arrival for your scheduled time.
Going forward I will be using the google docs link to sign up Retiree’s the shoot. All you need to do is click this following link and fill in the information and hit submit. All submissions will be time stamped and taken in the order they are received. You may use the same email to submit another retiree, just use their information. The link labeled D5 Retiree Shoot Assignments will be updated weekly. You will need to find your name on the document and attend the retiree shoot at that time. Please show up on time. While the time choices are at the hour mark, like last year we will also assign shooters to the half hour mark too. I have received many requests by retiree’s for the option to buy more t-shirts and additional items. I am pleased to announce that that we have a website up that will allow you to order items and pick them up at the retiree shoot registration desk on September 13th or choose to have them mailed to you. If you choose the option for them to be mailed to you, you will have shipping added at checkout. I have designed several of the items including a retiree specific shirt, golf, polo, multiple 100 yr anniversary items (knife, shirts, hats, divot tool, blanket.. etc). You will not find these items anywhere else. The site will close on August 31, 2021 to allow for production and shipping to the district so that way the items will be at District 5 in time for the retiree shoot.

Here is the link to check assignments (remember the assignments will not be done automatically); ISP D5 Sept 13, 2021 Retiree Shoot Assignments
Please Review the Rest of the email to ensure you bring all that is needed and comply with our current rules and protocol.
You will need to bring the following to the shoot.
a. The 3 attached forms filled out,
b. Your own ears,
g. 10 dollars cash (Please bring a 10 dollar bill so we don’t have to make change),
h. FOID if in state or DL if out of State,
i. ISP Retiree ID
j. Show up with your weapon ready to go and your magazines loaded
K. There will be a sign in table just off of the parking lot near the range building. You will turn in your waiver, pay your $10 and be sent to one of the ranges. At the conclusion of the shoot you will be given your sticker at the range line.
For next year. I will be sending the retiree dates in January. I will then open the enrollment for them a month out just like this. Please understand we will always make sure we do everything to get you all scheduled. I have found that when I open enrollment more than a month out that I end up working more on changing assignments and cancellations than I do with regular assignments. This is the primary reason I have chosen to wait until this time to open the sign up. Hopefully the dates coming out in January will help with those that live out of town to make arrangements.
Please forward this message on in its entirety to your friends that may not receive this email. Last retiree shoot this message did not make it to the District Chicago and District 15 retiree email lists and returned with an error.

The 2021 41st Annual ISP Softball tournament will again be held at Spartan Park in Chatham on the weekend of September 17-19. This is a great family event that builds comradery state wide, while also raising money for the ISP Gold Star Families and the ISP Heritage Foundation. The ISP Heritage Foundation will be assisting with the funds and planning for the event. With the tournament being canceled last year due to Covid, we are looking forward to a great tournament. The details of the event are as follows. There will be a preparty located at DH Browns in Springfield Friday night starting at 6 PM with food and drinks provided. A coaches meeting will take place at 7 PM. All games will be played on Saturday and Sunday with every team guaranteed to play at least two games on Saturday and one on Sunday. A banquet dinner will be held on Saturday night at the Troopers FOP Lodge. Thank you again to the Lodge for their generosity in assisting with this event. Please begin looking for auction items and the entry fee will be $600 per team this year. If you have sponsors for teams or for the tournament please contact us. All Coaches for each team need to email us prior to September 1st, if you know you have a team please respond ASAP, so we can begin blocking off the correct number of hotel rooms and number of meals needed for the caterer. New teams are welcome to play if your district, zone, or work unit is interested. Also, anyone interested in playing on a team that does not have one may respond and we can hopefully find a team for you to play on or create an additional team with the additional players.
Tentatively, we are looking at using The Crowne Plaza, the Holiday Inn, and the Abraham Lincoln hotel as host hotels for the event. We are waiting on a confirmation of the hotel rates. We are still working on blocking off hotel rooms and securing a caterer. More information will be forthcoming as we iron out some of the final details. Again, we would like to thank all who will participate and donate to this great event, as we look forward to another successful year. Be safe and we look forward seeing you soon.
Please respond to Trooper Roy Manasco or Master Sergeant Craig Neighbours with teams, donations, or any questions you may have about the event.
